Tailbaila situated near Lonavala in Maharashtra at a height of 3200 ft msl. It's a pair of pinnacle. Tail and Bail are the two pinnacles made of lava flows. There are strong evidences of erosion surrounding these pinnacles.
Tailbaila is a small village about 40 kms south of Lonavala and now well known amongst the climbing community. The Tail Baila pinnacle (fort) also served as a watch tower guarding the old ghat routes towards Sudhagad. There is a temple of Lord Bhairav in the middle of the two rock walls. It's is a small trek includes a 3 km walk from Tail Baila village. At a distance the rock appears like two walls standing one after the other.

One can climb the rock from both the sides. There are 4 traditional routes of climbing. I tried the easiest one. Rappelling down gives a nice view of the panorama,.A very interesting rock formation of volcanic origin consisting of sheer cliffs with overhangs in many places.
Check below video of my rock climbing at Tailbaila. Feel the thrill.
